Now that plumbing and electrical inspections are complete and the decisions have been made for the placement of new walls, the FUN part is beginning: The Details!
I am leaning towards the majority of the lighting in the home to come from the Visual Comfort line at Circa Lighting.
I am lucky enough to live in Houston and visited their showroom on Friday. I was finally able to get up close and personal with the lighting that I have been drooling over for ages.

I will definitely have a few Boston Functional Library Wall Lights in the Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass finish.

The Antique Nickel finish is beautiful also. I believe I will need to find a way to use both finishes because I love them both.

A similar pendant from Williams-Sonoma.

.. single sconce.

The Basil Flush Mount ceiling light comes in both a small and larger size.

So much nicer than the standard ceiling mount light.
Next week: Plumbing.

Your bathroom really looks comforting, I wont mind staying in there for a few hours. The relaxing hue is bound to soothe one's stressed mind. Now I am wondering how much will it cost me to have a bathroom remodel and make it look like closer to yours? Circa Lighting is one of the best, I certainly agree with you there. You have a beautiful place , thank you for sharing the pics.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have a quick question about your blog, do you think you could e-mail me?

Hi Vikki,
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to following your remodel progress. I live in Houston and we bought a place in Jamaica Beach this past May. We love it and spent a lot of time there this summer. It's is in need of remodeling and updating. Would like to know if you have found good contractors to do your work. We also want to use Hardiplank on the outside and possibly add on to our place. Not sure how to contact you by email, I can't find a contact on your blog. Good luck with everything, I think the hardest part is just getting started. Your ideas are great...I need you to stop by and give me some vision on what we should do!
So glad you are back to blogging.
Happy New Year!
